We're fans of all kinds of books! We believe in getting your story and passion in front of others. We either have or are currently working on Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Biography, Horror, Romance, Children's Books, Coloring Books, Devotionals, and a book on Management. If you're not sure, ask! We love talking with potential authors.
Disclaimer - We may decline books we feel go against our core beliefs of supporting others. In other words, we won't publish it if it will cause harm.
Nothing, if you don't want to! When we say we want to remove barriers, we mean it. We can do most things ourselves to keep our costs low and recoup those costs with a tiered royalty payment schedule to the author.
If we can't sell enough copies to make our money back, we look at that as our failure. While your royalties will be reduced, you will get royalties on every book sold from the first book. We spent a lot of time thinking about structuring our contracts and balancing author-friendliness with making enough money to remain viable. An example contract might be the author receiving 25% of net revenue for the first 50 copies, 50% for the next 50, and 75% for all copies thereafter.
We will NEVER ask you to pay money out of pocket. We want to get your book out as much as you do. If you have specific questions, email or DM us, and let's talk about it. There's no pressure to talk to us and see if we can help.
Absolutely. We know that every author's situation is as different as the books they write. If you're willing and able to pay some of the costs associated with publishing, such as editing or hiring a cover artist, we will adjust and negotiate with you to make a deal that benefits all parties.
We believe so. If you're bringing a ready-to-publish book, we'll work to get a contract that works for both of us. We aren't here to hurt artists. We want to build our offerings library and help people get their work out. We'll still work just as hard to market your book and get it in front of our network of readers.
If you can comfortably afford the software or subscriptions, programs like Scrivener and LivingWriter are fantastic. However, DO NOT think you can't successfully write your story without them. While they have cool features to help you storyboard and keep you organized, you can accomplish the same things with a notebook. You don't even need MS Word. Google Docs or OpenOffice Writer are free word processors that work great. Millions of books were written before niche programs were a thing. Don't let indecision or fear of not having the right tools stop you - Just start writing! Reach out to us, and let us help. We can provide books, templates, outlines, and other resources to get you started. We love helping new authors get their keyboards going!
