As Danni approached the gates she eyed the guards standing watch as they allowed people to enter. When it was her turn, she smiled and gave them a little bow. 

“State your business!” One of them demanded in a gruff voice, his armor clinking as he shifted to look at her and eyes Octavious with suspicion. 

Octavious said nothing and continued to look ahead. Danni, on the other hand, was more than happy to talk. “I am here for the knowledge within the arcane tower library. I want to expand...” 

She didn’t get to finish her sentence as she was abruptly cut off by the somehow gruffer of the two guards. “Oi! We don’t need a whole plan! Just a brief description! Keep it moving!”

Her eyes widened and she shut her mouth before they hurriedly ushered her along with a shove. 

“Yeesh, magic users with their fancy talkin! I tell ya! I don’t got all day to listen to the likes of that. Especially from a half breed.....” 

Their voices faded out of range as she continued to walk along with Octavious. Being new to this city, there was a lot to take in. The streets were busy and buzzing with people coming and going from various shops and houses. Daily life flowed around her as she watched some people hanging out laundry to dry and others peddling wares here and there. It was warmer within the walls, which allowed for her to unclasp her cloak and finally be comfortable instead of freezing and shivering. The uneven cobblestone of the streets made walking difficult in her already worn boots, and Octavious gave a sigh as he leaned down to offer her an arm to sit on.
